J/44
The J/44 was designed by Rod Johnstone in 1989 as a contender for the Newport-Bermuda race, and she has enjoyed more than 30 years of racing and cruising and general sailing enjoyment ever since.
About
Spice is my current idea of a perfect sailboat – fast and fun to sail and race; safe, comfortable and capable to cruise alone or with close friends. She is confidence-inspiring, exhilarating, graceful, and close enough to luxurious that I feel coddled every time I’m aboard. Like all things in life she is a collection of compromises, but the compromises are all ones I agree with, and I’m very happy!
